Lima, Peru - Mision Oikos Cristiana

In 2017 Catch the Fire USA took a team on a missions trip to Lima, Peru as an ongoing partnership with Mision Oikos Cristiana an amazing ministry that has a ministry school and church in Lima, a church in the jungle of Peru, and a children center in Pacifico Shanty Town - one of the poorest areas in Lima. The children's center, Casa de Paz, where kids come in to have a hot meal, take a shower, get help with their homework, learn about art, music, and sports, and hear about the love Jesus. While them team was in Peru they were able to minister to many of the people in the community and saw Jesus open 4 partially deaf ears, and a man who had 6 years of chronic stomach pain walk away completely healed!! The CTF USA team was very touched by this trip and look forward to going back and spending more time with Oikos. 

Prison Ministry - Proverbs 226

Catch the Fire USA has been working for nearly three years with Proverbs226, which has included among other things donating 2100 copies of Grace and Forgiveness to prisoners within the program.  We were so excited to finally gain access to our first prison in Raleigh in 2016.  Central prison is a maximum security prison for 20 year+ and death row inmates.  In 130 year history of the prison inmates have never been able to have contact with people from the outside, only through plate glass windows. That has all changed thanks to Jesus and Proverbs 226.  Below are two videos of a recent event. The first is by the local news station WRAL, which was picked up by over 40 stations and went viral all over the US.  The other gives a little more of the back story and was produced by CTFR.
